Change the default Internet Browser called from the Help system

The Help system in Ability contains "Hyperlinks" direct to the Ability web site. If you have installed more than one browser, and the default browser Ability uses is not your preferred choice, you can download a utility that will allow you to change this default.

Instructions:

  1. Click on the following link and select Run: setbrowser.exe (34K). Or you can save it to disk and run it later if you prefer.

  2. When prompted, select the Unzip button and the program will start automatically.

  3. Use the Browse button to point to your default browser (e.g. if you want Internet Explorer, it will usually be c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe) 

Notes: we have not digitally signed the above program (since it comes from Blue Sky Software - the makers of the tool used to generate our help system).
