Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library error when installing Photoalbum

Symptom 1 : error message on install: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library error: C:\Program Files\Ability Office 4\ABPhoto.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for more information."

Symptom 2: Cannot start Ability Photoalbum or use open a table with Ability Database.

Cause: DAO, part of Windows XP, is not set up correctly.

Solution:

Select Start/Run
Enter: REGSVR32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\DAO360.DLL"
