How do I put an Ability icon onto the desktop

You can use a standard Windows technique, drag and drop, to put Ability icons onto the desktop. The following instructions are for Windows XP but should work with earlier versions of Windows as well.

Get the Desktop visible (e.g. minimize all applications or use the "Show Desktop" button on the Windows taskbar)
Select Start
Select All Programs/Ability Office
Press the Ctrl Key and keep it pressed
Drag and drop a program (say Write) onto the desktop
Release the Ctrl Key

To remove an icon you have placed on the desktop, right-click over it and select Delete.
